Kate and Brian met when they were quite young. Brian was friends with Kate's best-friend's brother. They were 8 and were both playing at the Johnson's house. Brian used a tennis racket to hit stones at Kate while she was trying to play skip-it.

HOW THEY MET: When they were kids. Brian was friends with Kate's best-friend's brother. They were 8 and were both playing at the Johnson's house. Brian used a tennis racket to hit stones at Kate while she was trying to play skip-it.
 
THE PROPOSAL: He asked, she said yes.
 
THE RINGS: For him: A simple white gold band (that doesn't drive him crazy since he is left handed!) For her: A white gold, princess cut engagement ring with a custom diamond and white gold band (by Kyle Bounds of Kuhn's Jewelers, Salisbury).
 
THE DRESS: Candlelight Bridal, Millsboro, DE
 
THE CEREMONY & RECEPTION: Heritage Shores Clubhouse, Bridgeville, DE
 
THE LOOK: Chocolate brown & cornflower blue
 
THE FOOD: Cheese and crudités display, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables with yogurt and herb dipping sauces, imported and domestic cheeses, • Hors d’ Oeuvres: Butlered lollipop lamb chops served with pesto hollandaise, barbecued chicken in a tortilla crisp with spicy southwest bean salad, fried ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms and roasted tomato sauce lobster fritters with lemon grass dipping sauce • Salad Course: Garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette • Entrée Course: Jumbo shrimp and sea scallop brochette skewered with seasonal vegetables served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and vegetables or Oven-roasted French style chicken halves served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
