WEDDINGS

JESSICA AND MATTHEW

I came home after grocery shopping, and Matt asked me to please get his cell phone out of his suit-coat pocket. When I reached in to get it, I found a ring box instead. He then got down on his knees and asked me to marry him.

THE HAPPY COUPLE: Jessica Leventry and Matthew Giardina

THE BLESSED DAY: June 6, 2009

OCCUPATIONS: Jessica is a stay-at-home mom to 5-month-old Abraxas (a.k.a. “Brax”); Matthew works in the family business, Bay Shore Development Corp, part of Jolly Roger and the Boardwalk Hotel Group of Ocean City.

HOW THEY MET: “Matt and I kept bumping into one another at the gym, the grocery store, restaurants and bars. We would make eye contact and smile at one another… sometimes I would even get a wink! I thought he was extremely handsome and talked about him to all my girlfriends; I called him my ‘hot boy.’ After about a month of these exchanges, I saw him at Fager’s Island and pointed him out to one of my girlfriends. She walked up to him and introduced us. The rest is history!”

THE PROPOSAL: “I came home after grocery shopping, and Matt asked me to please get his cell phone out of his suit-coat pocket. When I reached in to get it, I found a ring box instead. He then got down on his knees and asked me to marry him.”

THE DRESS: A satin modified trumpet-cut dress with sweetheart neckline designed by Jim Hjelm, purchased from Betsy Robinson’s Bridal in Pikesville, MD.

THE RING: Jessica’s engagement ring, from Liljenquist and Beckstead in Ocean City, is an emerald-cut white diamond on a channel-set princess cut diamond band of 18K white gold. The matching wedding bands are also princess cut diamonds in a channel set.
