East Coast Tile & Flooring transformed a blank canvas into a work of art in Princess Anne
Marsha and Charlie Carpenter wanted to update their home in Princess Anne and needed someone to help them with the overall vision and style. They picked Dave Slater of East Coast Tile & Flooring, and they’re thrilled with the fresh yet traditional results he brought to their master bathroom.
“I gave him a general idea of what I liked, and he pulled it together,” Marsha said. “He’s very professional. He has a really good eye for pulling the tile and all, making that work.”
Slater said the oversized all-white bathroom was a blank canvas and had no character to it. He was up for the challenge of giving the couple a direction for their design and breathing life into the space.
“She loved the wood-floor-tile look,” he said, “the Calcutta marble for the walls, the combination of shapes and sizes. That bathroom included vanities, the whole thing. It was a full gut job. The finished product looks amazing.”
Slater said one of his favorite elements in that bathroom is a raindrop light fixture over the tub that serves as a focal piece.
East Coast Tile & Flooring is a third-generation, family-owned company that covers everything from start to finish — design consultations, tile selection and installation. They’ve recently added a showroom to their business, boasting one of the Eastern Shore’s biggest selection of tile and flooring.
Since working with Slater, the Carpenters have not only recommended East Coast Tile several times to friends, they’ve hired Slater to return to renovate two more bathrooms in their home.
“We found him very helpful, very easy to work with, “ Marsha said. “He paid attention to detail, and he was always making sure that it was the way we wanted it to be, that we were satisfied at each step of the way.”
