Stephen Cherry is a freelance photographer based in Maryland. Born and raised in Tennessee, Stephen, a fourth-generation photographer, received a BA in Photojournalism from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. After years as a newspaper photojournalist, he ventured into the world of freelance, working as a magazine editorial photographer and shooting commercial advertising. Stephen has traveled most of the US working for newspapers and magazines and enjoys seeing and documenting the diversity of the country and meeting people of all walks of life. Stephen lives in Berlin with his very understanding wife and three wonderful daughters.

I have worked for the Coastal Style Publishing Group for just over a year and during that time I have learned many different aspects of working for a bi-monthly magazine.  For me, there is still so much more to learn and as my knowledge grows so do my roles. Currently I take care of the day-to-day operations, accounting and verifying ads for each issue.

 

My past employments are varied, and prior to coming here, I have been a stay at home mom, a co-owner of the Ice Cream Castle, a real estate settlement officer for NRT/Coldwell Banker and an Executive Assistant at the Coconut Malorie. All of these positions have helped me at Coastal Style for different reasons.

 

My spare time is spent with my husband, Daniel, and two children, Savannah (2 years old) and Wyatt (6 months old).
